A hard-swinging quintet featuring some of the top rising instrumentalists in jazz. Members of the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet are in the Institute's Fellowship Program. The group has won numerous DownBeat awards, including the 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011 awards for best collegiate jazz group in the country. Featuring Tree Palmedo, trumpet; Rane Roatta, tenor sax; Alec Watson, piano; Bill Vonderhaar, bass; and Malachi Whitson, drums.
