The Jazzschool Vocal Department is
very pleased to present Manhattan
Transfer’s 9-time Grammy Award
winning vocalist, Janis Siegel. With
over ten recordings as a solo artist
and over twenty recordings with
the Transfer, Ms. Siegel is one of
the most successful jazz singers of
her generation. Her down-to-earth
spirit and soaring, crystalline, easily
recognizable voice have led to an
international performing career
spanning three decades.
Vocalists should register for this 3-hour master class as soon they are
able as it is sure to sell out. Please bring in two songs of your choice
(ballad, swing, Latin) and Janis will choose one to work on with students,
offering critique with an eye and ear for interpretation and presentation.
At the end of the workshop Janis conducts a 30-minute Q & A with the
participants.
