More Information San Francisco-native Sam Reider is an award-winning jazz pianist and
singer. In 2007, the San Francisco Chronicle wrote, “At 18, he [Reider]
plays with the swinging fluidity of a seasoned pro.” Now in his third
year at Columbia University in New York, Reider is making a name
for himself on the national scene, performing alongside such artists
as Miguel Zenon, Dave Douglas, David Grisman, John Handy, Bobby
Watson, Terence Blanchard, and Eric Harland. In May 2008, Reider was
interviewed on Marian McPartland’s legendary NPR show, Piano Jazz.
